Booth Radiology is pleased to announce our new MAGNETOM Verio 3T MRI. This new equipment offers increased comfort for patients and high-quality images for physicians. These digital images are also available through our PACs Vision Reach on line access so physicians can access their patients’ information quickly and easily.
The new MAGNETOM Verio 3T provides:
Revolutionary Technology
The MAGNETOM Verio provides diagnostic confidence with a range of clinical applications that can allows physicians to assess treatment earlier than ever before. The 3T Magnet allows applications that were once only possible in the realm of research but can now be translated into daily clinical routine.
Revolutionary Comfort
The MAGNETOM Verio has an extra-large open bore (70 cm) that accommodates a wide range of patients including the obese and elderly. The extra space is also excellent for those who suffer from claustrophobia during an MRI exam.
Revolutionary Speed
The MAGNETOM Verio, with the power of Tim™ (Total imaging matrix) technology, has up to 102 seamlessly integrated matrix coil elements and up to 32 independent radiofrequency channels that allow flexible coil combinations to make patient and coil repositioning virtually unnecessary. Patients can be positioned once for multi-station studies -- a big benefit for frail or elderly patients.
Booth Radiology is proud to be able to offer this new technology to our patients.
Booth Radiology strives to continually offer our patients the latest in technically advanced diagnostic imaging procedures. We are proud to announce the latest advancement in oncology imaging now available at our Washington Township office.
PET/CT Scanner - Breakthrough in Cancer Care
The world’s fastest PET/CT Scanner is now available at Booth Radiology’s Washington Township office. The biograph™ LSO from Siemens Medical is another addition to Booth’s state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging armamentarium. It is one of the most significant medical innovations in cancer detection in the pa
st decade.
Physicians looking for cancer have long relied on CT (computed tomography) scans to detect abnormal masses. PET (positron emission tomography) imaging can find cancer deposits when they are too small to change the size or shape of the body’s organs, (before they can be seen on CT scans). However, PET scans are not as good as CT scans for pointing out the precise location and size of the cancer deposit, (which is important to direct biopsy, surgery, or other treatment). “When a PET scan can be directly fused onto the CT scan done at the same time and with the patient in the same position, the ability to accurately detect cancer and avoid false alarms is markedly increased,” said Markus Whitley, M.D., Division of Nuclear Medicine at Booth Radiology. “Now combined, this biograph™ LSO PET/CT scanner will deliver technological advancements in diagnostic imaging for the benefit of South Jersey oncology patient care. Our patients will receive the best, fastest, most state-of-the-art cancer imaging available anywhere,” he adds.
A patient’s fight against cancer has never looked brighter with the ability to tailor individual patient care management that is detailed and concise. Whole body studies, which combine the two previous separate and longer procedures, can be accomplished in as little as 30 minutes.
“Booth Radiology is proud to deliver this new level of diagnostic confidence for the staging, treatment, planning and monitoring of the oncology patient’s fight for life,” comments Michael Ramer, M.D., President of Booth Radiology.

Picture Archival Communication System (PACS)
Booth Radiology continues to support our physicians with advanced support and interpretation of our diagnostic procedures and services. Booth Radiology has now implemented a Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS). A fully integrated computer system that improves the timeliness even further of radiological interpretation, PACS allows diagnostic imaging and reporting of patient results to be reviewed and stored on any PC. The PACS system provides the physician with easy access and more options in patient data retrieval. Patient results can be viewed on a CD with interactive capabilities, or a web page.
