*PACS - Picture Archiving and Communications System
To continue with the advanced physician support of our diagnostic services, Booth Radiology has implemented a Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). A fully integrated computer system that improves the timeliness even further of radiological interpretation, PACS allows diagnostic imaging and reporting of patient results to be reviewed and stored on any PC. The PACS system provides physicians with easy access and more options in patient data retrieval. Patient results can be viewed on a CD with interactive capabilities, or a web page.
PACS acquires, delivers and stores medical images and assists in offering the latest in research, education and future technological advancements for Booth’s radiologists and our referring physicians. Physicians will benefit from the easy remote access to their patients procedures, coupled with improved patient care and timeliness of results.
Connected through a network, PACS allows the retrieval of past studies to be quickly obtained for immediate review and comparison of current procedures and the transmission of reports for more accurate interpretation resulting in improved patient outcomes.
